Richard Jakotowicz – Director of Investment Strategies
Richard has an extensive background in financial markets and wealth management. In addition to 20 years of experience, he has a Master’s Degree in Finance, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™. Both the CFA Institute and CFP Board hold their members to the highest levels of ethical standards and responsibilities to the public, clients, colleagues and employers. Richard serves on the Education Committee for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Richard is a Faculty Member within the Finance Department at the University of Delaware. He teaches various courses including Financial Planning, Investments, and Financial Engineering. He is the Director of the Financial Planning Program as well as Director of the Trading Center within the College of Business and Economics. Richard is a member of the University’s Retirement Plan Investment Committee and is the Faculty Advisor to the Blue Hen Investment Club. Prior to his role at the University of Delaware, Richard worked in various wealth management roles within the JPMorgan Private Bank and also at TIAA-CREF.
Richard lives in Greenville, Delaware with his wife and son. He enjoys spending time with his family at the beach, hiking and traveling.
